Aware Copywriting Processes

Each project follows the same process whether we’re writing copy for a blog or content for a website. This makes it easier for our partners in the web development, design, and marketing industries to plan ahead for collaborative projects.

DEFINE

By defining each client’s market position through research and discovery, we ensure the messaging we develop is effective and original. At this phase, we request access to any relevant marketing and business data already available to expedite the process of discovery. At the end of this phase, we’ll have a clear picture of your brand. Our findings will be supplied to you in an organized document for review to ensure that we’re off and running in the right direction.

 

DEVELOP

During the Development Phase, your copywriter will be developing tailored content for your brand’s business, marketing, or online needs.

REVIEW

As the initial draft is developed, brand stakeholders will have opportunities to review the content and offer feedback. We ask that feedback be provided in a timely manner to ensure the project stays on schedule.

Clients may prefer to wait until all of the materials are developed to review. In this case, clients will have two weeks to provide feedback and are entitled to two rounds of revisions.

REFINE

Your copywriter will carefully consider all feedback and make the changes necessary to refine and distill your brand’s messaging.

Timing is Everything

While processes are always the same, timelines may vary depending on the size and requirements of your project. We’ve provided time estimates for a standard, five-page website to give you a sense of how long a project may run and how far in advance you may want to schedule your project with Aware. The time takes into consideration our clients’ busy schedules, which sometimes result in delays in providing our copywriters with necessary information and input.

We recommend that you reserve your spot as early as possible as our calendar is booked a month in advance. It’s also a good idea to gather existing resources, documentation, and marketing materials as soon as you begin thinking about a content project to expedite the process.
